No Pain no Gain Right? |
Having spent the last two weeks ensuring that she didn't over train but still improved her performance. Zuriah worked extensively with Thera-bands, assisted resitance training for her pull ups. Which during week one she was unable to perform unassisted. By Tuesday - 7/02/12 she was able to perform 5 consecutively without assistance - making for a total of ten in a set.
While this may not seem like a big deal to some - 5 pull ups; it is a laudable achievement and I must congratulate her on the hard work she has put in!!
Another weakness which received considerable attention this last stretch has been Zee's lower abdominal's - the "L" seat being a particular issue.
We discovered that by altering the orientation of her toes - we were able to maintain a much better "L" seat, although the duration was still quite low.
These shots are a pretty good indicator of how a simple change of angle could improve Zee's "L" Sit. Simply pointing her toes. Her endurance in the "seat" has improved but will it be enough?

Zuriah - has been one of the most committed and determined people I've met recently. Her determination to participate and do well on such a short time frame has been inspiring to say the least! 6 weeks from start to finish.
Saturday the 11 of February 2012 sees Zee step up and face this challenge head on. Whatever the outcome - she has already pushed herself and achieved beyond what she was physically able to perform in the past. Stamina, strength, power and endurance have grown!
I look forward to seeing her participate tomorrow. I have faith in her because she does crazy things like, enter the next event before she's finished this one. :D it's that will that I have faith in. Its her O.C.D.
Organised. Committed.Determined
